| Isonzó express crosses over Isonzó river (Soca in slovenian). It'd come to the commemoration of the anniversary of battles of Isonzó in WW I. These battles are remembered as one of the worst as more than a million Italian and half a million Austro-Hungarian soldiers died or were missed. On the photo: the Solkan bridge, biggest in its class: single-arched stone bride, 222m long, 36m over Isonzó river, shaped as an S. |
