Texas Gonzales & Northern owns several former Canadian National SD40s, and in 2017 they are due to get repainted into the railroad's own (and new!) scheme. TXGN 129 was built by Canada's GMD in 1971 as Canadian National 5179. From the CN, this engine became Alstom Canada Transport (GCFX 6078). It was then sold to the Wisconsin Central (WC 6943), and then on the TXGN. Photographed on railroad property with permission and full PPE safety equipment.
