N?VOG E14 (1099.14 when ?BB) takes the last hairpin before arriving to the bottom station of Mariazellerbahn's pass. This is the daily snowplow turn from St. P?lten Alpenbahnhof to Mariazell and back, securing that there were no avalanche or rockfall overnight at the line. The most interesting bit is the engine: designated by N?LB when it was made as 'E', then by ?BB as 1099 (1x- means electric locomotive, -9x is narrow gauge: 760mm) and now E14 by N?VOG. 16 of these engines were built back between 1910-1914, they rebodied them in the '60s. Power is 420kW, capable of 50km/h and measuring 49t on 6 axles. They were in daily service until the 27th October 2013 - all locos did more than 100 year in service, except 1099.15 which was crashed down of a viaduct in 1981 and 1099.16 which did 'just' 99 years. Nowadays there is a special every Saturday consisted of old carriages and of course with a 1099 up front.
