| A westbound freight descends the famed Blue Ridge Grade on the former Norfolk & Western Blue Ridge district, passing the namesake hamlet of Blue Ridge, Virginia just before sunrise on a tranquil March morning. The CPL's here have seen many over 80 years of time elapse on the old N&W mainline. But sadly, new signals stand guard and these are nothing more than a memory; a fond memory that is. |
