Remarks & Notes

Amtrak ran a special test train on 6/9/17 from Oklahoma City to Kansas City. Locals hope to see service restored at least as far as Newton, KS to connect with the SW Chief. Amtrak last ran service from KC to Ft Worth through OKC in 1979. Train is pictured passing the Holcim Cement terminal in Edmond OK shortly after departing OKC.
