Really white—trucks and all Two retired tank cars are being used at a storage facility at Ansel, Colorado, along the shortline San Luis Central on September 1, 2013. The cars are no longer on tracks, but interestingly still have all their railroad hardware like trucks and couplers, and are even surrounded by their own concrete catch basin. The SLC operates a 13-mile line connecting to San Luis & Rio Grande that runs from Sugar Junction (near Monte Vista) and Center, with Ansel being at mile 9.5.
