| New "Twindexx Swiss Express" (designation Bombardier) or "FV-Dosto" (designation SBB, meaning doubledeck train for long distances) RABe 502 # 208 is running with 200 km/h on the NBS (Neubaustrecke) near Hindelbank. This test train made a journey across Switzerland from Romanshorn via Winterthur-Zürich Airport-Zürich main station (underground tracks)-Heitersberg-Olten-NBS-Bern VL-Thun-L?tschberg Base Tunnel (LBT) to Brig. Both pantographs are raised and the train is loaded with many sand bags. The SBB ordered 59 of this type in different configurations in may 2010 for about 1,9 billion swiss francs, but there are still none of them delivered. Three additional trains should be delivered for free because of the delay. |
