    Remarks & Notes
    The Blue and the Gray

The blue and gray color scheme of the Richmond, Fredericksburg, & Potomac Railroad has been said to have been inspired by the colors of the Union and Confederate armies, tying well with the “Linking North and South” slogan of the road. Here units of four different railroads display paint schemes that are predominantly blue, gray, or a combination of the two.
