| With the sound like a heavy metal door closing, the loop line rail slid to join the main line. Starter turned green. Station master conveyed the clearance to the crew on VHF radio. Loco-pilot and Guard acknowledged the same. The assistant visually checked the signal. Assistant leaned out of the right window waving his green flag, looking forward to the guards clearance. The guard reciprocated the same from his last coach. The loco-pilot opened the throttle and entered the departure time in his log book. The assistant loco-pilot rechecked the signal and the track ahead as Kolhapur to Pune passenger train started rolling out of Shindavane station.
