The I&O's Melvin Rock Runner hustles eastbound on the Midland Subdivision in Loveland, rolling through this curve that is just west of the Little Miami River Bridge. At one time, when this was the B&O's Ohio Division, the line went from single to double track here westbound at an interlocking called Dorsey.
The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
My photos that I have taken on lines operated the Indiana & Ohio and it's affiliate operations, including the Central Railroad of Indiana (CIND), and the Chicago, Fort Wayne & Eastern Railroad (CF&E).
