Toronto-Halifax Canadian National #120 is crossing the Richelieu River at Beloeil on gorgeous fall morning. On June 29, 1864, a Grand Trunk train with more than 350 passengers was travelling from Quebec City to Montreal when it failed to stop as it approached the swing bridge and plunged into the river below.
