    Remarks & Notes
Conrail used the yard at Lansdale, Pennsylvania as a base of operations to serve several branches in the Lansdale area. Because most of these branches had limited runaround facilities, the locals would operate with a locomotive on each end to service facing- and trailing-point sidings. Here a local with two GP15=1’s heads out the Stony Creek branch at West Point, Pennsylvania. At this time, the branch was embargoed from a point near Walnut Street in North Wales to Norristown.

Although, to the best of my knowledge, the Stony Creek never was never electrified, it did have catenary structures along its length. These structures carries a three phase transmission line, presumably a secondary power source for the Reading’s substation at Lansdale.
