In its first summer of revenue service, a United Aircraft TurboTrain running as Penn Central train 3002 between New York and Boston speeds through the Pine Orchard section of Branford, CT, leaving behind the scent of jet fuel. This was the original three-car configuration of these trains, which would later be lengthened to increase capacity.
