Amtrak's Coast Starlight #11 is seen flying through Manteca, CA. Due to a bridge replacement in Ventura, CA on the Coast, the Coast Starlight was forced to detour over Altamont and down the Fresno Sub, over Tehachapi Pass and Soledad Canyon into LA.
Running daily between Seattle and Los Angeles, this train offers running alongside the Pacific Ocean and through the Cascade Mountains. It has been one of Amtrak's long-distance success stories.
