Three months before the end of passenger service on the Boston & Maine's Central Massachusetts Branch, the single RDC that comprised the evening commuter run between Boston and South Sudbury plows through thick weeds outside Waltham, MA. The B&M was bankrupt at this point and branchline track maintenance was not a high priority. I believe the passenger speed limit on the branch was 35 mph.
