On a chilly but still afternoon in December 1990, SP 7447 West rolls off the summit of Tehachapi Pass and passes under the famous cantilever signal bridge at the west end of Tehachapi. During this time, the temperature in moist of California was below freezing for two weeks straight, giving plumbers a bonanza they'd never dreamed of.
