After the combined westbound Lakeshore, VIA Rail Trains 53 and 43, departed Brockville, Ontario the power from Train 53 turned on the Canadian Pacific wye, and the CP local from Smiths Falls arrived in town. Now, as the turned power slated for eastbound Train 54 waits in the center, and the CP local’s Alco switcher and caboose are out of the way, combined Trains 44/54 are making their station stop at Brockville, Ontario. As soon as the stop is completed, the train will pull clear of the crossing, drop the rear half of the train, and Train 44 will proceed to Ottawa. The other power will then retrieve the rear half of the combined train, and proceed to Montreal as Train 54.
