As snow falls, Amtrak's westbound Bay State rolls through Wellesley, MA, with the usual F40/Amfleet consist. The Bay State was the state-funded "Inland Route" service that ran from Boston to Washington via Springfield and Hartford. This was four-track territory in the heyday of the Boston & Albany.
