| Here's the "Clinchfield 800" 25 years ago, numbered as CSX 116, on a MARC special ready to depart for Hagerstown. Two round-trips were operated from Chambersburg to Lurgan, as I recall. A short segment (1.2 miles) of former WM trackage in downtown Chambersburg (part of the old "Alphabet Route") is now a rail-trail; see map. |
