An ex-PRR E8 with a Penn Central Washington-Boston train pauses at Providence, RI, a year before Amtrak. The first car behind the engine is an ex-NH parlor/lounge. The distinctive Art Deco office building in the background was known locally as the "Superman building" because of its resemblance to one seen in the classic black and white films.
