71 years ago, in January of 1947, Milwaukee, WI had one of their biggest blizzards in history. 19" of snow fell with drifts 4 feet or more high. It shut the city down completely as people actually slept on streetcars. Several days later, my uncle went out to Oakland Avenue and shot this scene, with a Route 15 streetcar of the TMER&L slowly making its way north.
