Great Northern NW5 No. 192 pauses during switching at Duluth, Minnesota, at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum on June 10, 2016. Only 13 rare EMD NW5s were built between December 1946 and February 1947. Ten were built for GN, Nos. 186-195, with the short hood behind the cab equipped with a steam generator for passenger service.
