Remarks & Notes

An A-B-A-A set of Amtrak E-units leads a northbound train along the former Monon/C&O line through Hammond. This line was abandoned in the 1980s and developed into a bike trail and is possibly slated for use with the South Shore expansion to Dyer, Indiana. Tom Golden photo.
