Remarks & Notes

Commonwealth Edison had a pair of SW1s that served the State Line Generating Plant on the Indiana/Illinois border. COMX 3 is seen switching around the complex while a set of empty Burlington Norther hoppers await their return trip west to feed coal to the plant. The EJ&E would deliver loaded coal hoppers to the plant and return the empties to the BN. Tom Golden photo.
