RI GP40 no. 4714 mates up with a U25B on a moist March day in 1973. The units are at the Rock Island locomotive facility at Inver Grove, south of St. Paul, MN. Rock Island operated a strategic mainline south from the Twin Cities to Galveston, TX, now part of Union Pacific.
