| UP 6803 has left Arnolds Loop 2 or so miles behind and it is still on the sustained 1% westward grade leading to the summit of Silver Zone pass. The grade to Silver Zone Summit begins at Wendover, Utah and tops out 34 miles later in a deep cut at 6000’ above sea level after negotiating the well known Arnolds Loop. The train is the daily MRORV headed to Roseville, CA from Roper Yard in Salt Lake City via the Shafter Sub. |
