Tejas means "sharp", "lustre" and "brilliance" in many Indian languages. Tejas Express is India’s first semi-high speed full Air-Conditioned train introduced by Indian Railways, featuring newer modern on-board facilities and automatic doors. The train will run at an average speed of 130 km/h (81 mph) but will be allowed to touch 180 km/h (110 mph) on some sections.
