Remarks & Notes

It's a cold and windy winter day as a loaded Nipsco coal train rolls east on UP's Overland Route in Nebraska near CP Best. During the early 1990's C&NW power was seen on the point between North Platte and Council Bluffs more so than UP power as a steady stream of Powder River coal was led by Northwestern Dash 8's and Dash 9's, plus other C&NW power on the manigest trains east of North Platte. C&NW 8519 is now CN 2018.
