A two-man crew uses ex-ATSF GP30u 2443 - which celebrated its 55th birthday in January 2018 - to shove 19 gondolas toward a tie-treatment plant a few miles west of Wister. This is the former CRI&P Choctaw Route which connected Memphis with an SP connection at Tucumcari, NM. Back in 'downtown' Wister is the location of a former crossing between this line and the long-removed SL-SF line between Monett, MO and Paris, TX. Both CRI&P and SL-SF lines were secondary mainlines once upon a time, but only pieces of either line remain in operation by shortlines.
