S300, built 1957, is turned on the hand operated turntable at Warrnambool, having arrived with the morning passenger service from Melbourne. I didn't know it at the time but West Coast Railway only had about four months left before folding, with V/line taking over operation of this line. S300 passed into the hands of Chicago Freight Car Leasing Australia, where it remains in service at the time of writing.
