    Remarks & Notes
Just remembering. Almost three years now already since the demise of the last of working industrial steam operations in South Africa. Saiccor No. 1, ex South African Railway Class 19D (4-8-2), No. 2697, at the Timber Exchange Yard at Umkomaas on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast. No. 2697 was built by Borsig for the South African Railways in 1938.
