With dawn breaking over Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan, a Manhattan-bound F train heads down the ramp from Smith-9th Street station, into the tunnel that will take it underground through four more stations, before it will duck under the East River and continue into Manhattan.
Photographs where trains and people mix, weather it's street running, plant switching or carrying a unit grain train out of an elevator, it will be put here.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
