| A Winter snow storm envelops the boarding area at the New Hope & Ivyland railroad as passengers board an early morning excursion led by line's handsomely painted EMD GP30 diesel. In the background, 2-8-0 No. 40 takes on water in preparation for the following run. The tourist line has recently begun this new practice of alternating runs between diesel and steam powered trains. To the right, is the immaculately restored former Reading depot which was originally located about 100 feet of its location today. Both the station and the freight house behind it were built in 1891. |
