| Having topped the summit of Peru Hill an eastbound unit soda ash train carefully creeps down grade towards Green River with a compliment of over 100 'soda cans' tied to the drawbar. Trailing the head end consist is UP 9696 still wearing the road worn colors of the Chicago & Northwestern. The battle worn C44-9W reported for work for its prior owner in 1993 as C&NW 8632, today it is one of a ever dwindling few still wearing 'original' colors. |
