| BDZ 2-10-2T steam locomotive #609.76 (made by Fablok, Chrzanow, Poland in 1949) is climbing the steep grade in the gorge near Marko Nikolov with its short passenger train. The Rhodopes Mountains narrow-gauge line is the only operating narrow gauge railway in Bulgaria (Bosnian gauge 760mm (2 ft 5 15/16 in)). |
