        Remarks & Notes
Canadian National stack trains pass each other on opposite sides of the Thompson River on September 1, 2007. The eastbound train led by EMD SD60F No. 5525 is on Canadian Pacific rails west of Drynoch on this shared directional running section of the railroad, while on the other side of the Thompson, the CN train is between Seddall and Morris on its home railroad.

Freight Cowls are standard locomotives that have a hood that extends the full width of the locomotive. Sadly, most Freight Cowls have been retired, but a few still run on short lines.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
