As seen from the top of Breakneck Ridge north of Cold Spring, NY, an Amtrak Turboliner races up the Hudson Valley towards Albany. I later learned that the rock formation on which I was innocently standing was a popular hangout for rattlesnakes... fortunately I didn't meet any of the local residents! The New York Central burrowed through this mini-mountain via a pair of tunnels.
