The Cincinnati Railway's restored NKP GP30 901 leads the southbound morning run of the "Quincy Cannonball" excursion past the Heritage Cooperative Elevator at Thackery on the former mainline of the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton Railroad, today operated by G&W's Indiana & Ohio Railway. The Quincy Cannonball excursion was operated by a new CRC affiliate operation called Ohio Rail Experience, which will be operating rare mileage trips throughout central and western Ohio. After running a "Lima Limited" excursion from Springfield to Lima and return on May 19, The Quincy Cannonball ran from Springfield to Quincy and return twice on May 20. Also of note are the ties staged for an upcoming track project on the former DT&I.
