Remarks & Notes

Cheakamus Canyon in my opinion is one of the most spectacular railroad locations in Canada. The railroad drops on a steep 2.2% grade along side of the raging Cheakamus River cutting a narrow defile thru the Coast Mountains. The spectacular route was built by the Pacific Great Eastern Railway, and is now operated by the Canadian National.
