Newport, Vermont is holding a Centennial Celebration in 2018 and on July 1, hosted a series of special excursions on Central Maine & Quebec and Vermont Railway trackage as part of the events. Vermont Railway GP40-2 303 is leading a trio of Green Mountain Railroad passenger cars, along with CMQ GP38M-3 3812, on the first trip of July 1 and is seen rolling over one of several Lake Memphremagog trestles on the way back into Newport.
