| An outbound train has just terminated and is waiting further assignment at UD on this hot July evening. Prior to 2014, Rock Island District trains would cross the diamond to terminate at another platform, the platform this photo was taken from. That platform is no longer in passenger service but is still open to the public. Iowa Interstate and CSX freight trains continue to cross the diamond, despite Metra no longer utilizing the crossover. |
