        Remarks & Notes 
        With an ex-SP Geep on the point, a UP westbound departs Yuma at dusk and heads for the crossing of the Colorado River and the Arizona-California state line. The bridge in front of us was placed here in 1923, and is obviously not the original, since the first one was placed in service on September 30, 1877, and consisted of several wooden trusses.
