Test run of two "Girunos" highspeed trains RABe 501 # 004 and # 001 are passing the CER Sud (Centro d'Esercizio Regionale/Regional operation center) at Pollegio, near the south portal of the 57 kilometer long Gotthard Base Tunnel (GBT). From this building, operation, supervising and dispatching of the railway traffic on the Gotthard line, from north of Arth Goldau in the north to Chiasso and Luino in the south, through GBT and over the Gotthard mountain line, are executed.
