| After a rough start out of Hempstreet Park, Pan Am 22K trudges east in a torrential downpour as an emergency flood warning is announced for the region. A fast moving line of heavy thunderstorms has slammed into eastern NY and western Mass with monsoon like rainfall. Despite the horrid weather, the NS 8853 “top hat” dash 9 is a rare sight leading on the Pan Am as only a very few survive active on NS by 2018. |
