| History Happened Here....Yesterday was the 241st anniversary of the Battle Of Bennington which happened right here and in the surrounding valley and hills ahead of me and behind me. Today the only battles that still occur are from VRS trains slugging there way back and forth to Hoosick Junction to interchange with Pan Am or during the winter months the town of Hoosicks plow trucks trying to push snow or battle the icy steep road behind me during the winter months. For those who would like to learn more about the Battle of Bennington you can visit it via the access road near this crossing of route 67. Also Michael P. Gabriel’s book on the Battle is an excellent resource. |
