| A loaded oil train bound for Maryland, LA, works along the Mississippi River between Lansing and Harpers Ferry near MP 115. Between Lansing and Harpers Ferry the Marquette Sub disappears along the Mississippi River into the back country. A single gravel road is the only access for many miles. Not much to see but trees and the railroad back here. The train is about 17 miles from Marquette, and the next crew change location. I believe these trains will go to the KCS at KC for furtherance to the Gulf? |
