Remarks & Notes

Boston & Maine 4266 leads the Notch Extra into Whitefield on home rails as the consist crosses the diamond and passes the ball signal at Whitefield Junction. The track that the train is seen on is the former Boston & Maine Wells River-Berlin branch. The crossing track is the former Maine Central Mountain Subdivision. Although Conway Scenic utilizes the former Maine Central tracks, at Hazens the line connects to the former BM tracks as they were in far better shape to continue to run trains on. Conway Scenic rarely runs trains this far. The trip was part of the 2018 Railfan's Weekend.
