Steam in the backyard
I'm sure the locals paid no attention to the passing parade of big steam on the Jitong Railway in the early 2000's. They probably had no idea that the foreigners with cameras had nicknamed the spot "Brickworks Valley", while they called ErDi ("second place"). Whatever you called it, it provided a spectacular show for a decade, and was over as quickly as it started. |
