    Remarks & Notes
End of an era. After serving the Boston & Maine and it's successors since 1957, the GP9 era on the B&M is coming to an end. Parked at the extreme western end of the former Boston & Maine, the 2 Pan Am heritage units sit at the west end of the small yard in Rotterdam Jct. Now carrying RPCX reporting marks, the units are waiting for CSX to pick them up from this interchange yard. The units are suppose to be on the way to the Heber Valley in Utah. RPCX 77 was built as BM 1738 and RPCX 52 was built as BM 1726. Earlier in their life, both units were the backbone of the road unit fleet running trains out of this yard.
