| CEFX 1012 has an LS&I trainload of dock ore on the move at Empire Jct. near Palmer, MI. The train is being handled by one of the morning crews returning from Tilden Mine to Eagle Mills. Later a dock crew will forward the train down the hill to the ore dock at Presque Isle (Marquette). The signals protect the junction, part of a wye that connects LS&I with CN (former C&NW trackage). Note the mountain of iron ore tailings created over the years behind the train. |
